Currently in the UK the Outdoor Industry (other than when working with children) is unregulated and this means that anyone can set themselves up to do many kinds of outdoor work with no qualifications, no affiliation to a trade body or association and with no public liability insurance.
Not at Wayymark Outdoor. We take your safety very seriously, which is why every one of our guides, coaches, instructors and colleagues are members of either the Mountain Training Association or the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and hold relevant National Governing Body qualifications for the discipline, trip or course you have subscribed to.
Public Liability Insurance and First Aid Certificates are also held by each individual member of the team.
In addition, all our Navigation Instructors are accredited with the National Navigation Award Scheme and hold a teaching qualification to ensure you receive the highest standard and current best practice in teaching and coaching methods.
We believe that high quality instruction, in a safe, professional and fun environment is worth paying for.
We try to respond to you as soon as we can, but a lot of the time we're up a mountain where reception can be less than ideal, so you may not hear back from us immediately. If you can't get through straight away please leave us a message which we'll pick up when we are in back range.
