Challenge yourself, discover what you're made of, and experience the real Scotland.

Update - 21st May 2020.

The Scottish Government has now produced it's route map through and out of the Covid19 crisis. The document suggests that travelling to the hills (other than locally, i.e. within 5 miles of your home) is still some weeks off. There are no concrete dates given in the document but Phase 3, when we may be allowed back onto the hills, is unlikely to be before early July 2020. In view of this, all our walks, courses, trips and expeditions up until the end of June 2020 are currently postponed.

I will be in touch with everyone in the coming days with alternative dates for the postponed bookings.

I would ask that, in line with current Government guidelines, you do not attend any of our trips, expeditions or skills courses at this time.

I will review this constantly and adjust accordingly to remain in line with Government guidance.

Thank you for your continuing understanding through this challenging time.

We're passionate about what we do!

Currently in the UK the Outdoor Industry (other than when working with children) is unregulated and this means that anyone can set themselves up to do any kind of outdoor work with no qualifications, no affiliation to a trade body or association and with no public liability insurance.

Not at Wayymark Outdoor. We take your safety very seriously, which is why every one of our guides, coaches, instructors and colleagues are members of either the Mountain Training Association or the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and hold relevant National Governing Body qualifications for the discipline, trip or course you have subscribed to.

Public Liability Insurance and First Aid Certificates are also held by each individual member of the team.

In addition, all our Navigation Instructors are accredited with the National Navigation Award Scheme and hold a teaching qualification to ensure you receive the highest standard and current best practice in teaching and coaching methods.

We believe that high quality instruction, in a safe, professional and fun environment is worth paying for.

Want to get in touch?

We try to respond to you as soon as we can, but a lot of the time we're up a mountain where reception can be less than ideal, so you may not hear back from us immediately. If you can't get through straight away please leave us a message which we'll pick up when we are in back range.

To find out more about our trips, expeditions and training courses, you can  check them all out here.

If you have questions about kit and other requirements for our walks, you'll most likely find the answers on our what you will need page

If you have any further questions, you have some special requirements you'd like to enquire about, if you would like us to put together a more bespoke trip for you, or if there is any other way we can help you then please tell us in the form below and we'll be very happy to get back to you as soon as we can.
